Womens Friendship Trophy March 2010

We held our Frienship Trophy tournament Sunday 7 March at the Table Tennis Canterbury stadium.

The Open section was won by Sun Yang who beat Jenny Hung in the final. B Grade was won by Elva Craig and C Grade by Ola Ratka.

While we did not have as many players as we would have liked the standard of play was very high, with 3 of the top women players in New Zealand all taking part. Sun Yang, Jenny Hung and Michelle McCarthy are all regular members of the NZ Womens team.

The tournament was followed by a BBQ lunch which was enjoyed by all.
